Online Resources of the eDBA -- "By virtue of being Internet-connected, an eDBA has access to the vast knowledge and experience of his peers. To take advantage of these online resources, however, the eDBA must know that the resources exist, how to gain access to them and where to find them. This article will discuss several of the Internet resources available to eDBAs." (Comments: What is an eDBA versus a plain old DBA?)

What a fluff piece. Going to www.oracle.com to find out about Oracle! That never would have occurred to me!

The Open Directory Project has a much better list of resources for DBAs. Once again, Google is your best friend here. For instance:

http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Software/Databases/Oracle/
http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Programming/Languages/SQL/

Also, Google hosts newsgroups, and lets you easily search them:
http://groups.google.com/groups?group=comp.databases

Share and enjoy.

Maybe an eDBA is simply one worth hiring because they have the ability to find information, whereas as ordinary DBA must be one without Internet connectivity (perhaps an out-of-work homeless one)?
