09/09/2001 Archived Entry: "9-September-2001 -- To win ... you have to eat this"

To win ... you have to eat this -- "From fingernails to hair to deep-fried chicken heads, things pop up in everything from store-bought foods to restaurant dishes to takeout. But if you want to sue, it comes to more than luck in winning a settlement. It takes actually eating the ...well, whatever." (Comments: This might not seem like it is related to usability, but it is. Many people carry around ideas in their heads that are just plain wrong. I would guess that the vast majority of people, at least Americans, would think that finding something wrong with their food would be enough for a lawsuit. However, this preconception is clearly wrong according to this article. How many other ideas are people carrying around like this? Can you think of more examples of these false beliefs?)
