Online shoppers are getting ripped off (The Register) -- "The researchers found that six per cent of goods failed to arrive at all and in some cases punters were billed for items that never turned up. Almost one in ten etailers failed to refund items when they were returned."

I had this problem with an Amazon.com "Zshop" (aka independent company using Amazon to take my payment info). I canceled an order the same day it was made (on a holiday) and the Zshop acknowledged my cancellation a few days later and never shipped the order. But the Zshop told me I had to get my refund from Amazon and Amazon told me I had to get it from the Zshop. Well, Amazon is the company listed on my credit card bill, so guess who will be getting a call from my card company...
