Management and Virtual Decentralised Networks: The Linux Project (First Monday) -- "Beyond the shadow of doubt, the greatest problem seems to be the esoteric (exclusive) and short-sighted nature of the organisation at least in the form that prevails today. Today's organisational dominant design is based on the centralised mindset, and this renders the adoption of this model not likely to unveil it full potential. Even worse, when centralisation is bundled with a bureaucratic delegation of authority and responsibility in a status-driven organisation, then the model is impossible to be implemented and flourish."
