Pardon me for being forward (Anil Dash) -- "I already saw it. That forward? I got it. I've gotten it. I do not wish to keep receiving it. I was neither moved nor inspired. It was neither clever nor funny." (Comments: Thanks Jack.)

I appreciate forwarded messages. They may be substitutes for substantive communication with people you know, but life is too precious, too temporary, not to embrace this limited exchange of ideas. That person will be dead one day and then you will be miss his or her daily contacts. Tell that person today that you love them. Don't wait another minute.

Now, that's a blog entry written just so that people will send it to each other. Nice marketing trick by Dash. Pretty clever of him. Not so clever of all the suckers who forwarded it around.

Kung Pao's on to me. :)

...and Anil is on to me. Shoot.

I like "My favorite color is: No"

I get so tired of forwarded e-mail. I want to go and find the links myself.

Who are you Kung Pao? That doesn't sound like a proper Chinese name to me.

Posted by: MadMan on August 9, 2002 04:54 PM

Would you have a problem if I, as an American, was named Chili Cheese Dog?

Posted by: Jack on August 9, 2002 07:21 PM

No, Jack, the name would be appropriate.

Posted by: MadMan on August 9, 2002 08:18 PM

Ok, do you mind if I start calling you Samosa? It seems a proper Indian name, far better than MadMan.

Jack, Mac is gonna kick yer arse for messin' with his system.

Posted by: John S. Rhodes on August 9, 2002 08:57 PM

Jack,
my system is working with such efficiency that your could call youself the Pope and wear a dress, but my system would still pick you out of the herd.

Posted by: Mac on August 12, 2002 03:39 AM

Oh please. I bet you're just looking for "schonchin@." If I change my address, you're screwed. Bwahahahahaha!

Posted by: John Paul on August 12, 2002 09:23 PM

Jack, I have now analysed enough of your posts, that my system can recognise you from phrases, grammar and your excellent use of punctuation.

Posted by: Mac on August 13, 2002 04:49 AM

Oh and Jack, I wont kick your arse as John suggested, but I might set your Butt on fire, so watch out.

Posted by: Mac on August 13, 2002 05:28 AM

Can you generate a report about my phrases, grammar, etc. or are you blowing smoke? I'd love to know my literary profile.

You may not have known this, but you guessed correct. You simply must visit Lava Beds and watch the sun rise and set from Schonchin Butte. Now figure out the derivation of "Jack."

Posted by: Jack on August 13, 2002 12:07 PM

Jack,

phrases and grammar? Hey I've got your DNA now. Oh and it's not as simple as Captain Jack, is it?

Posted by: Mac on August 14, 2002 03:36 PM

Oh, but it is that simple. I'm a simple country bumpkin.
