WebWord Weblog Posting Posting Date: August 22, 2002 The Way We Were -- "Bangalore-based Madhu Menon has been working with computers since his school days in 1986, but his first exposure to the Internet was in February 1994 at a university in Australia. Back in India, he managed to convince a cyber café owner into letting him use his facilities free in exchange for trouble-shooting work. Today he admits he'd be seriously lost without the Net."

I'm on several discussion groups that tap into the intelligence of thousands, making us all wiser in the process. Hear, hear .... and older, and balder (for the males amongst us). Posted by: Mac on August 22, 2002 07:28 AM
John links us into the middle of a multi-page article that demonstrates poor use of infographics. At the top of the page we see a photo collage with the caption, "Four veterans retrace their journey through cyberspace..." Ummm, four? I see 2 guys and 1 chimp. Where did the other person go, and since when do chimps qualify as computing professionals? I recognize and respect that chimps were first to fly in space, but they were glorified button pushers. Let's give the profession a little respect, please.
MadMan had better be careful, that chimp's getting a high profile. It might get big-headed and split up the partnership to try to forge a solo career as a user experience guru.
