What's hard to find are the research results that matter. I think Bob's needs to update his numbers: 1,000 articles per year seems far short of the mark while 5% too high. Besides, who cares about research results? (Trolling for discussion...) Posted by: Ron Zeno on August 30, 2002 11:38 AM
Academics care a lot about research updates. Those who are in the industry are more cynical about these "researches" because there are a lot of pragmatically useless results. I think it's a good idea to compile whatever useful results are out there for the busy bees who have no time for the library. Of course, someone has to pay for the time and effort of the compiling.
