Interview: Maryam Mohit, Amazon.com (Good Experience) -- "Usability doesn't have to be expensive. You don't need a 50-person usability team. Just a small good team, and people throughout the company who get it. Having a CEO who gets it is also really important. You don't need a huge team for usability if people are making the right decisions along the way."

Agree that the *customer centered* thinking must be an integral part of how other people outside of the "usability team" work. But how? I have seen a number of approaches from pushing it strategically to working directly in project teams. Are there specific *attributes* or *characteristics* of people that lend themselves to being more 'customer focused' people?
