Our school bought a Doomsday computer/project (very Dr. Strangelove) when they came out in 1986. I remember a teacher saying "It's kind of like a big book". Yes indeed. I also remember it being a bit rubbish - most of the stuff on it was the result of primary school projects done in conjunction with the BBC educational department.
