UK's top firms need to improve their websites -- "The report found that an alarming number of corporate websites in the UK are so badly designed that investors and the media are unable to locate the information they need. Nearly a half of all sites still do not identify a section for the media on their Home Pages, while a third do not give their share price." (Comments: Thanks Daniel Szuc.)

sensibly though -- now is the time for a discussion of the relative merits of heuristic evaluation vs usability testing. Note that the former could well be becoming more popular due to some wag flogging reports of checklists.
