NM is a little on the controversial side... see http://diveintomark.org/archives/2003/02/20/robotstxt_support_for_uberaggregators.html and followup at http://diveintomark.org/archives/2003/02/21/newsmonster_day_2.html "NewsMonster doesn’t care if you don’t provide full content in your feed. In fact, it doesn’t care if you do; it will still download the original HTML pages and images anyway. And, more disturbingly, it doesn’t respect robots.txt like other well-behaved bulk-downloaders." I've tried NM in both Mozilla and Netscape at home and at work and can't get the thing to run for the life of me - I always get some fatal error. My overall experiences with news readers have been pretty poor. Anyone else had similar experiences? Posted by: Lyle - Usability Guru on February 24, 2003 12:24 PM
