For me, its not just about usability any more. Its about understanding and working with complimentary disciplines to develop a great product. Its also about understanding the constraints of the technology and what can be achieved now and in the future. As mentioned before, I think *empathy* is a big part of what usability folks do in terms of usability testing and working in project teams.
