Are you in control of your website? (Gerry McGovern) -- "A surprising number of websites are not being properly managed. A particular area of concern is content quality. Many managers have not put professional publishing procedures in place. They do not know what is being published on their websites. This is an unacceptable situation."

If anyone can help me retaliate against the scumbags posting advertisements like the one above, I would be eternally gratefully. This is not a one time thing; they are doing it more and more. I want to punish them in the most severe way possible. Thanks.

Not to mention the rampant conversations about poop. It must all stop.

I don't think there is a lot you can do given that the post form is freely available and unrestricted. Without the barrier of registration, you would be stuck with either an approval process or an impossibly complicated filter system.

As far as punishment, you would need to know who they are first, which is complex. You could at best trap the IP address on each comment, which might be a disincentive, but not perfect.

I sympathise with you, but I find it darkly amusing that this request is attached to a post titled "Are you in control of your website?"...
